I'm just a summer type of girl.

It’s been awhile and I have been quiet busy. I have worked on so many projects since my last post. I really shouldn't just sit on Ravelry and read all day long. I decided to post on this project because I'm going out of my comfort zone to make this sweet little Crochet Tunic Vest by Linda Lanz .

Today while scanning all the tops on Ravelry I found this Japanese pattern for a Tunic that would work nicely in this yarn. I bought this yarn from a lady at Stitches East while in Atlanta, GA in the spring. There was only one and I knew I would be able to find something to make with this beautiful color way.

The yarn is something quite amazing. The lady was dressed up in a medieval costumes for the event and I loved her booth. Experimental Love Child is this yarn and it is a light worsted weight. I really think this yarn will make this Tunic pop in color. I will let you know how it turns out.   j- :)

Kit Club

Yes, I joined an amigurumi kit club http://www.freshstitches.com/freshstitches-kit-club/

My first kit was this cute little snail. My daughter took it right away.

I'm working from home today and thought this would be a good time to check email and crochet a t-shirt for spring. We are having a snow day today. I just wanted to start thinking about the spring. So I've found this great shirt pattern in www.crochetmagazine.com and using some great yarn by Deborah Norville.

Table top tree

Getting ready for Christmas by starting off with a table top Christmas tree. I was thinking of making a star or angel for the top of the tree. This was an easy project to make.

Gingerbread House

Gingerbread House

This year I thought it would be a great idea to make our Gingerbread House out of felt. We make one (or attempt) every year. I was at JoAnn's and saw this pattern for lots of Christmas ideas...then I read no sewing needed to make them. Hooray! Grab the glue gun, buttons, lace, and some holiday decorations for this project. My daughter is really enjoying this project. To make this extra special we watching Christmas movies while assembling our house.
